Goals

At Canadian International Learning, Our Goal is:

  • To provide the best online education to Canadian and International students and adults (18 + ) according to the Ontario Curriculum and Ontario Ministry of Education.
  • To help our students obtain admission into a post-secondary institution, such as a Canadian University or College, by receiving their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) at Canadian International Learning.
  • To evaluate international students’ specific educational needs and provide direct intercession to meet those needs in a meaningful way.
  • To determine equivalent credits for students outside of Ontario.
  • To recognize that each student is wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of Christ.
  • To provide all students with equal opportunities to be successful in pursuing their goals in life.
  • To establish a student-centered online learning environment.
  • To offer students an opportunity to start their course at any time and work at their own pace.
  • To adhere to the principles and policies outlined in “Growing Success: Assessment and Evaluation and Reporting in Ontario Schools” to improve students’ learning and success.
  • To effectively evaluate the student’s communication, the course’s introduction, and how much the school website is useful for the students.
  • To record all students’ feedback to ensure student satisfaction.
  • To provide communication via discussion forum and/or telephone.
  • To welcome students and parents/guardians to offer their questions, concerns and feedback to the administration.
  • To keep students and parents/guardians informed via our monthly school newsletter.
  • To prepare and administer students for the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
  • To establish an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for exceptional students to identify their individual needs and develop a plan to accommodate them to reach their fullest potential.
  • To establish and maintain Ontario student records for the students of Canadian International learning.
  • To involve the student’s parent/guardian (if they are less than 18 years of age) to discuss the students’ strengths and weaknesses and plan for future success in their learning.
  • To establish an online learning environment where the student and parent/guardian are involved in the student’s success.
